Volunteer Training for the Repro-HERI Project

As part of the Repro-HERI Project Capacity building activities, the first volunteers training event was held on the 11th July, 2020 in Temeke, Dar es Salaam and the second volunteers training was held on the 18th July, 2020 via an online WhatsApp group chat. The two trainings were prepared by Mgolegrace Smart, Bernard Kivuma, and Anna Ng’unda; the project staff for the Repro-HERI Project and delivered by Bernard Kivuma and Mgolegrace Smart.

The training outlined about the Repro-HERI project including the aims, the timelines, the competences that the trainers should have, and the expected outcomes. The training was intended for the part time volunteers who will be participating in the school and university visits during the course of the project. The following is a brief summary of what was discussed.

  • An introduction to the project including the what, why, how, and why
  • A description of the timelines of the project and important deadlines
  • A display of the edutainment facilities that will be used for trainings in the Repro-HERI Clubs
  • Questions and Answers session
